A lasting friendship is one that allows you to hardly talk on the phone and rarely see each other, but still be able to pick up right where you left off. I have one dear friend from college that is just that way. The last time I saw her she was at the end of her pregnancy. Luckily, this weekend the timing was just right for my boys and me to stop in for a brief visit overnight visit on the way to my sister’s house.
What a wonderful evening we had! We were able to catch up and I was able to meet her precious, now 10 month old, girl. I fell in love with this sweet thing. She had the biggest most beautiful eyes and the most contagious smile. Watching her toddle around the house chasing after my boys melted my heart. Like me, both of my boys fell hard for this cutie pie! My oldest, who typically ignores babies, was doing all he could to make her laugh and would often steal hugs. First thing in the morning my little one typically requests applesauce (his crack) as soon as you see him. Monday morning was a request to “see baby”.
Oh how I wish we had more time with this sweet lady and her incredibly good hearted parents! Thankfully we took a little time to snap some pictures while I was there so I get to see Ms. Fancy’s face again. These photos turned out precious for just 10 minutes on the front lawn!
