Next month will mark one year since I started practicing taking portrait style pictures. I’ve gone back and forth on what to write for this blog. Do I write about why I got started (a passion for offering affordable portraits while I learn)? Do I write about how much I have learned, but the huge learning curve I still have (Photoshop and posing! eek)? What about the investments I have made in gear, but the investments I still plan on making (Can I say new camera is planned for next year! Whoooop!!)? Hmmm….where to go?
Well, I’ve deciding to write about YOU! Yes, you! I am so so thankful for YOU and your support! You have allowed me to practice on you, you have raised my confidence, you have paid me generously thus allowing me to add to my gear…oh and pay some super high summer electric bills. I could go on. 😉 One thing that has really been on my mind though is the phrase, “You are known by the company you keep”.
Oh my! How you have made the phrase, “you are known by the company you keep” ring true to me! You, my friends with kind hearts and souls, have sent to me your own kind friends and family and for that I am SO SO very thankful! I have so much enjoyed getting to know your people. Every client that you have referred to me has oozed goodness!
So, I will continue to offer my $25 off (one referral discount per session please) not just because you are sending jobs my way that help pay for a few family bills, the expense of a website and photo sharing and allow me to pay for new professional grade gear, but because you are making my job so fun! I am so thankful for the wonderful experiences you are creating for me! So, please go forth and refer me and keep making my job so enjoyable!
