First of all, I love how many sessions I have scheduled for Butler Longhorn Museum! This setting has so much to offer and I am pumped about the two sessions I have scheduled there this week!
I adore these pictures from the park around Butler Longhorn Museum. Probably because I am a sucker for bright colors and big smiles! To me genuine big smiles are a way for the joy of the heart to ooze out.
This mama and her crew had a lot of joy in their hearts for sure! She and I were chatting about her session and she said something that I had never thought of before…holiday photos bring families together. She commented that lately her family’s schedule has been so chaotic, but these photos forced her family to come together. She really appreciated that her family was able to be themselves. Even though it was a photo session, they were able to spend some fun, quality time together.
My heart sung when she told me what sets me apart from other photographers is my ability to get families to have fun and to capture them being themselves. THAT is my goal. It’s nice to have a picture with everyone posed and looking at the camera, but it’s amazing to have a photograph that documents your life at that moment in time! IE, kids running, goofy faces and big brothers looking at little sisters as if they are crazy
In my sessions we start off with a few posed photos. You’ll probably feel a little stiff and awkward, but after you roll your eyes at me a few times over the goofy things that come out of my mouth, you’ll start to relax and the personality of your families will start to shine. That is my goal! Posed pictures and then fun pictures of YOU being YOU.
Come on! Let’s have some fun! One family in my future is bringing swords to their session! Wahoo!
