I have really slacked in the blogging department over the past year. My clients and I have created many beautiful photos, but watermarking my images takes SO much time. I finally started just posting to Instagram without my watermark (eek), because I figure it’s better than not posting at all. I may be wrong, but I’m going for it and am doing the same on my blog. No watermarking and formatting images= 15+ minutes more to spend with my boys.
WOW! What a session to make me return from my blogging hiatus. I have been overwhelmed by all the ways this session was so neat! Summer vacation photos + Grandparents + a baby + an unexpected former middle school classmate+ A PROPSAL! It truly does not get any better.
T found me on Google, wanting family photos on the beach while they were in Galveston on vacation. The plan was to take pictures of everyone together, then break off for individual photos. During the photos, her youngest son would propose to his girlfriend. When you marry someone, you also join their family, so how sweet is it to have them there as well!!??!! I was super nervous about balancing a session with a baby with an early bed time and a man who was probably nervous about proposing, but everything turned out great and the photos are just precious!
Our Galveston beach photography session started off pretty neat when T’s daughter-in-law and I realized we attended the same middle school and high school. I only lived in Corpus Christi for 2 years, LONG, LONG ago so she and I had a hard time getting much further than, “you look familiar”. (Nothing makes you realize your age more than having to dig out middle school and first semester of high school memories!). I think the pictures of L’s family on the beach are some of my all-time favorites and the fact that she and I attended the same schools make the images even cooler! EVERY family needs pictures like the ones we took!
Speaking of images everyone needs! How lucky are C & S to have documented such an important event in their life! S, told me that the pictures tell more of the story than the video did! WOW! That is powerful! Congratulations to C & S! Your proposal was wonderful! You know S is marrying in to a wonderful family when they say, “she’s been a part of our family for a long time!”. I am so happy to follow S on Instagram so I can follow them on this new, exciting chapter in their life!
T, Thank you for coming to me and letting me take photos of your sweet family!
