Welcome to Shutterluv by Ashley, I am Ashley Gilfoil, former teacher turned stay at home mom who now takes pictures of families and high school seniors part time….unless it is October, November, April or May, then my Shutterluv Family turns this part time gig of mine into a full time one.
When I am not at a photo session, I am most likely volunteering, cheering on one of my two boys at some activity, taking a post 5:00 am Crossfit workout nap, at Starbucks working through a Bible study with my bestie, or decompressing through a book or a puzzle.
Decompressing is a must for me because my two guys keep me on my toes! My boys are what inspired my photography and helped me refine my craft. I adore capturing candid moments, be it a kiddo unable to contain all his or her energy, a high school senior laughing about his or her crush, or the connections between family members. My heart flutters when I capture those crazy, silly, loving moments of today because tomorrow’s moments will look just a little different.
My interactions with people is what I am known for and what helps form my Shutterluv Family. Since my main focus is on people, I don’t often use props in my sessions. IF I do, they are meaningful to the age and interest of the client and most of the time come from the home of the family.
